Verna Forte

Verna Forte, 91, of Jonesboro , died Tuesday morning at St. Bernard’s Medical Center . She had lived in Jonesboro since May, 2002, moving here from Shenandoah , Pennsylvania . She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Forte in 1994; her parents, John & Anna Bekich Mehok; 2 brothers, John Mehok and Peter Mehok; and 1 sister, Mary Mehok.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Joe & Jackie Forte, Jonesboro ; 2 grandchildren, Alexis Forte and Nicolas Forte.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Mark Wood officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Rosary will be said at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.

Burial will be at a later date at R.C. Calvary Cemetery in Drumm , Pennsylvania .

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that lasting memorials be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 614 S. Church Street , Jonesboro , Arkansas , 72401 .
