Vercie Dulaney

Vercie Drucilla Tate Dulaney, 92 of Bono passed from this life Friday, October 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born October 7, 1928 to the late Avery and Mary Jane (Midkiff) Tate in Bono.  Vercie was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church.

Vercie showed boundless love for God, family and friends. She loved flowers and hummingbirds, food and cooking, puzzles, gospel music and reading (especially her Bible) and trips to Branson with family and friends.  She possessed a caring and selfless nature,  loved everybody with her whole heart and was happiest being with her family and friends.    She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Dulaney, of 38 years, her parents, 2 sisters and 6 brothers.

She is survived by 2 sons, Larry Dulaney and Kevin (Mary) Dulaney, all of Jonesboro; daughter, Brenda Dulaney Lawrence of Little Rock; sister, Bernice Tate Pelfrey (James) of Westminster, South Carolina; 4 grandchildren, Chad (Lori) Dulaney, Alison (Jason) Walpole, Justin Payne and Melissa Grigsby; 7 great grandchildren, Colin, Hunter, Mackenzie, Cooper, Logan, Kaylee and Zoey; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 1 pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with service starting at 2 pm in the chapel and burial to follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.

Pallbearers are Chad Dulaney, Justin Payne, Jason Walpole, Colin Dulaney, Hunter Walpole and Mark Orr.

Due to Covid-19, all visitors will be asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hope Circle at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
