Verbyl was born June 18th, 1949, on a plantation in Marianna, Arkansas.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, companion, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.

Verbyl found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her garden, fishing, camping, and traveling with family to see new places. It wasn't always about where she was going, but who she was with. The laughter, family adventures, and special moments they shared will forever be treasured by those who loved her.

Her love for her family was the foundation of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the generations.

Verbyl is survived by her loving companion, Dewayne Wray of Oxford, Arkansas; her two sons, Bobby Harris of Oil Trough, Arkansas, and Rodney Harris (Belynda) of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas; and her daughter, Angela Pry (Chris) of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Tristen Pry of Oil Trough, Arkansas; Gabe Pry of Corpus Christi, Texas; Kaylah Shearer (Cody) of Paragould, Arkansas; Camron Harris of Batesville, Arkansas; Nathan Harris (Courtney); and Clarissa Wyatt (Jesse).

Her precious great-grandchildren include Makenna Harris, Morgan Shearer, Presley Harris, Layne Harris, and Seth Wyatt.

Verbyl is also survived by her brothers and sisters: William Wilson of Jasper, Alabama; H.C. Wilson (Debbie) of Thida, Arkansas; Craig Wilson (Linda) of Thida, Arkansas; Johnny Wilson of Thida, Arkansas; James Wilson (Lynn) of Nacogdoches, Texas; Glen Wilson (Julie) of Thida, Arkansas; Faye Harris (Jerry) of Thida, Arkansas; Mae McAdams of Batesville, Arkansas; and Brenda Benson (Steve) of Virginia.

She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Verbyl was preceded in death by her father, Homer Cyril Wilson; her mother, Lillie Mae Wilson; her aunt, Alta Redmon; and her sisters, Carolyn Ball, Barbara Hightower, and Alice Powers.

Though her family must now say goodbye, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lessons she left behind will live on forever. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service honoring Verbyl's life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Browns Memorial Cemetery in Union Hill, Arkansas.
