Vera F. Roberson

Vera Francis Roberson, 87, of Jonesboro died Friday, September 19 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She had lived in Jonesboro since moving from Trumann and Lunsford area in 1942.

She with her husband J.T., owned and operated Roberson's Grocery Store for 31 years. She was a homemaker, and dedicated member of Nettleton Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her church and her family dearly.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Roberson of Davenport, Fla., two daughters, Sharron Turman and Jeanne Roberson, both of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, Julia Roberson, Jerri-Lynn Kennedy, Jamie Roberson, John Roberson III of Central Fla., Eric Turman and Tammy Buckelew of Jonesboro, Melissa Stroud of Little Rock, Clint Loggins and Joshua Roberson of Jonesboro and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Harold Ray and Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-8 Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home.
