Velma James

Velma Hollaway James, 81 of Jasper, Georgia passed from her life on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at her home with her husband, Tommy James, and sister, Mary Thorne by her side.

Velma is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Anderson Holloway and Ethel Clark Holloway; 1 brother, Culon Holloway (Hollie) and 1 sister, Elfreda Tosh.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Marie Brewer; son, Allan Earl Brewer; 1 granddaughter, Courtney (Brian) Anderson; 2 great grandchildren, Chole and Henery Anderson, all of Suwanee, GA.; 2 sisters, Eva Hughes and Mary
Thorne of Jonesboro, AR; 2 Stepdaughters, Ann Jackson (Jim) and Mary James.  There are many nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with the service starting at 2 PM.  Bro. Jerry Parker will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery.

Pallbearers include, Tim Eaker, David Thorne, Brian Anderson, Brent Cline, Gary Tosh and Mike Tosh.
