Vaughn Brown

Vaughn Brown, 93, of Jonesboro, died early Sunday morning, February 6, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Egypt, Arkansas, Vaughn lived several years in Flint, Michigan, where he worked 36 years for General Motors before retiring and moving to Jonesboro in 1991.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Brown, by his parents, Hermon and Grace Brown, and by 5 brothers.

Survivors include a cousin and his wife, Gaylon and Kay Gibson, and a second cousin, Kenny Gibson, all of Jonesboro.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in Bishop Cemetery with Pastor Jim Roberts officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
