Van W. Tyner Hudson, 92, of Jonesboro died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Jonesboro Healthcare and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Hudson was born to the late Roy and Ruth Tyner in Walcott. She was very proud to have served in the World War II with the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps, and while in the service she received the World War II Victory Medal, Women’s Army Corps Service Medal and Honorable Service Lapel Pen. She was owner operator of Jami Bee Motel since 1964.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Hudson; two grandsons, Matthew and Chris Hudson; two brothers, Leroy “Pete” and J.L. Tyner.
She is survived by her son, James Hudson of Jonesboro; two grandsons, Jay Hudson and his wife Jill and Robert Hudson and his wife Annie of Jonesboro; four great grandsons, Connor, Kendle, Evan, and Mason; and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday 10 am at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Toombs and Marion Gramling officiating and Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Visitation will be Tuesday night from 6-8 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
