Ules Holder, 68, of Swifton, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Swifton for three years, moving here from Indianapolis, Indiana. Ules attended the Cash Southern Baptist Church where he was the piano player. Playing gospel music was his ministry. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ules was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include brothers, I.J. Holder and wife Sheralyn of Swifton; Larry Holder and wife Faye of Indianapolis; sisters, Ellen Dean Gentry and husband Rex of O’Kean; Freda Rhodes and husband Leman of Otwell; Carolyn Russell and husband Jim of Cicero, Indiana; Mary McCurn of Indianapolis; Sharon Husky of Swifton; 21 nieces, 20 nephews, and numerous great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Cash Southern Baptist Church with Johnny Thomas officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Arnold Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time.
