Tucker Allen Ward

Tucker Allen Ward, 11, passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the evening of Monday, November 26, 2018 after a lifelong battle with Sanfilippo Syndrome Type A. At the time of his passing, he was at his home in Jonesboro in the arms of his mother and father and surrounded by other members of his immediate family.

Tucker was the firstborn child of Bryon and Ashley Ward born on the evening of October 11, 2007. He was a 4 ^th grade student at Westside Middle School in Bono.  During his short 11 year life, Tucker touched the lives of so many men, women and children across the globe with his infectious smile and laughter. Tucker was loved by everybody who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Bryon and Ashley (Brean) Ward; sister, Malley Ward; and brother, Mason Ward. Other surviving members of his immediate family include: grandparents, Murray and Mary Sue Brean, and George Hinds; aunt, Christy Busby; uncle, Gary Ward; cousins: JD Collier, Matthew Ward, Luke Ward, Nolan Ward, Cyndi Pitts, Trey Pitts, Hunter Pitts, and Gunner Pitts, MeMe and countless others.

Tucker is preceded in eternal rest by his mawmaw, Deborah Hinds; cousin, Mary Cooper Pitts, and uncle, Bill Browder.

Tucker’s Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Eldron Gill officiating. Funeral procession will follow immediately after to graveside services at the Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza.

Visitation will be Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel from 5:00-8:00 pm.

Everybody in attendance is encouraged to wear something purple to honor Tucker’s memory and his battle with MPS/Sanfilippo Syndrome.

In lieu of flowers, the Ward family encourages donations be made to Operation Tucker Freedom at Arvest Bank to help fund a cure.
