Trina Jo Dudley, 56, of Jonesboro passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at her residence of natural causes. Trina was born on January 17, 1958 to the late J.D. and Joann Carter Dudley in Nettleton. She lived most of her life in the Jonesboro area, and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. After graduating from Nettleton High School in 1976, she went on to Arkansas State University to earn three degrees—Bachelors in Math and Nursing, and then a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She was an exceptional artist who could truly bring her subjects to life. Her artistic nature profoundly affected the way she viewed the world, finding beauty that lay beneath the surface of an old barn… a weathered stone… a cluster of hydrangeas… a person’s eyes. Her greatest joy was found in her loving devotion to her children and grandchildren. Trina was deeply spiritual and found great fulfillment in ministering to the sick. She was always happy to give more than she could to help someone in need. She is survived by one daughter, Devon Westpheling and her husband Chris of Springfield, MO; one son, John Dudley and his longtime girlfriend Norah Gnade of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Catherine, Emmeline, and Eli Westpheling all of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Sheila Dudley Chandler and her husband Van of Jonesboro and Jamie Dudley Cullen and her husband Joe of Russellville; and many family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7pm at Emerson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be 11:00am Thursday at Nettleton Baptist Church with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating, and burial will be private.
