Travis Wayne Huckabee

Travis Wayne Huckabee, 78, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on March 16, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital. Travis was born in Lepanto on August 3, 1945 to the late Leatha and Hayden Huckabee. In addition to his parents, Travis is preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Travis spent his early life in Northeast Arkansas before joining the Army and serving in Vietnam. Eventually, after leaving the military, he lived in Rice Lake, WI for 30 years. But it wasn’t long before Travis moved back to NEA around 2010. He loved volunteering and helping those in need. Travis was car guy; specifically, the 1969 Dodge Super Bee. He loved racing and going fast. Most importantly, Travis loved being with his family. He shared 10 children with his husband as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Travis’ family always brought a light to his eye.

Travis is survived by his husband of 14 years, James Larkins; sister, Nana Huckabee; 10 Children, 16 Grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
