Travis Dale Grissom, 47, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Born on March 25, 1976, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to proud parents Rick and Marla Grissom, Travis lived a life filled with compassion, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to helping others. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Grace Parish; and paternal Grandparents, Lilburn and Eunice Grissom.
A graduate of Valley View High School in 1994. And a proud graduate of John 3:16 Ministries where he found peace, and so many friendships, who he considers family
Travis embarked on a remarkable journey,leaving an indelible mark as the sales manager for R&R Farm Equipment and The Camo Shop. His commitment to his work extended far beyond professional success; Travis was a people person, known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. His innate ability to connect with others and his giving nature endeared him to all who crossed his path.
Beyond his career, Travis found immense joy in life's simple pleasures. An avid sports enthusiast, His love for the outdoors led him on hunting escapades and making memories with family and friends
Yet, amidst his passions, nothing compared to the joy Travis found in his role as Uncle BooBoo. He embraced the title with warmth and love, bringing laughter and happiness to his cherished nieces and nephews. He was also known as the “smell good guy” Acqua Di, Gio Giorgio Armani” which was part of his character
Travis Dale Grissom will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter, his compassionate spirit, and his genuine love for those around him. His legacy of kindness and his willingness to extend a helping hand will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Travis is survived by his parents, Rick and Marla Grissom of Jonesboro; brother, Todd Grissom of Jonesboro; sister, Brittany Brown (Josh) of Jonesboro; sister-in-law, Staci Grissom; nephews, Brody Grissom, Conner Brown, and Jude Grissom; and nieces, Mackenzie Brown and Jada Brown. He also leaves behind his best friend and first love Hannah Moon Flannigan.
The visitation will be held from 12:45-2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Archie Mason officiating and Raymond Hendrix giving the Eulogy. Burial will follow at Keller’s Chapel Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Kyle Moon, Ron White, Adam Farley, John Finley, Shannon Hall, and Hunter Merrel. The honorary pallbearers are the men of John 3:16.
In honoring Travis's wishes, his family kindly requests considering the gift of being a donor His decision to be a donor further exemplifies his lifelong commitment to aiding others, even beyond his time on Earth.
