Tori Marie Chism

April 30, 1989 — March 17, 2024

Victoria "Tori" Marie Chism, 34, of Jonesboro, peacefully departed from this life on March 17, 2024. She was born to James Doyle Hunt Jr. (Sonny) and Patricia Bradsher Hunt on April 30, 1989.

One of Tori's greatest joys was being a devoted soccer mom to her beloved children. She found immense fulfillment in supporting them on and off the field, nurturing their passions and dreams with unwavering love and dedication.

An artist at heart, Tori found solace and joy in the world of arts and crafts. Her creative spirit shone brightly through her intricate creations, each piece a testament to her boundless imagination and meticulous attention to detail. Tori's flair for decoration transformed spaces into vibrant, welcoming havens that reflected her unique personality and style.

In a final act of generosity and compassion, Tori chose to be an organ donor, bestowing the gift of life upon others even in her passing. Through her selfless decision, she has already touched the lives of several individuals, leaving an enduring legacy of hope and kindness.

Among her many passions, Tori (aka The Cat Lady) had a special place in her heart for her beloved cats, Timon, Sirius, Buckbeak, Dobby, Ziva and Pumbaa whose companionship brought her endless joy and comfort throughout her life.

Tori is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Hunt; maternal grandparents, Billy Chris Bradsher and Mary Ann Duckworth Bradsher; and paternal grandparents, James Doyle Hunt Sr. and Cora Marie Latourette Hunt.

Tori is survived by her loving husband Jared Chism; daughter Haven Alexandria Chism; son, Jameson Ty Chism all of the home; half-brother, Brent Burris and niece Zae Burris; half-sister, Tia Burris Browning and nephew Brooks Browning of Jonesboro.

Tori rescued both dogs and cats and in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, 6111 E. Highland Drive, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 (Please put in notation: In memory of Tori Chism).

A visitation will be held to celebrate Tori’s life from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Emerson Funeral Home.
