Tony M. House

Tony M. House 85, of Searcy, formerly of Jonesboro, passed from this life Thursday December 10, 2020 at his home. He was born 8/26/1935 in Paul Switch Community at the home of Grandpa and Nettie House. Given birth by Ercel B House.

Tony moved to Jonesboro in 1945 from Valley View and attended Jonesboro schools, and graduated in class of 1954. He served 6 years in Army National Guard. He was cofounder and charter member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church Tony married Joan Koster on June 5th 1961 and celebrated 59 years together. Tony enjoyed many things, his favorite was listening to Old Time Gospel Music, his next top favorite was talking about his Savior. He had several favorites but the one he especially loved talking about and driving was the 1962 Tempest. That car could put a smile on his face just to mention it. What put the biggest smile on his face was Bruce and Pam and Pops (aka) Tony riding in the Trump Train parade with flags flying high and wearing shirts proudly. He won various awards at various car shows and won his most recent with son  Bruce and Pam back in June of this year. He loved riding his mower at high speed along the side of his mowing partner Pam on Friday’ , that was their day.  He loved his and Joan’s trips to Jackson Tennessee if for nothing but to go eat fish at their favorite restaurant. Next was IHOP , most favorite place he and Joan went weekly .He loved his moved to Searcy of May 2020, he was a little nervous at first but settled right in and knew God placed him and his wife here to be cared after by son Bruce and Pam. He was extremely happy to find his home church where he worshiped the lord freely. The Revival Church of Searcy with Pastor Danny Whitley and Bro. Tim Wachtstetter

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joan House. One special cousin, Jerry Dickey House and half sister Doris Caldwell of California.

Survived by 2 sons Bruce D House wife Pam of Searcy AR. Brian L House wife Christy of Bay. 3 grandchildren Bridget House of Navarre Florida, Kaleb House and Kadence House of Bay. 1/2 brother Bill Hickam and wife Cheryl of California, 1/2 sister Barbra Parker and husband Bill of North Carolina.
