Tonny Ray "Butcher" Cooksey

December 16, 1956 — August 24, 2013

Tonny Ray “Butcher” Cooksey, 56 of Bono, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at his home. He had lived his entire life in the Jonesboro area. Tonny was of the Baptist belief. He was an avid hunter and a fishing enthusiast. Tonny was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Cooksey and his brother, Steven Allen Cooksey.

Survivors include daughters, Toni Oliver of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; Barbara McDole (Kevin) of Jonesboro; father, Floyd Cooksey of Jonesboro; brothers, Gene Cooksey of Bowman and Mike Cooksey of Jonesboro; sisters, Freda Henderson of Williford; Judy King of Trumann; grandchildren, Kortnie, Christopher, Summer, Kyle, and Kaitlyn; great grandchildren, Addison and Kamden.

Graveside services will be 3:30 Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Jody Austin, Anthony Kent, Tony Kent, Diz Davis, Bobby Cooksey, Christopher Oliver, Jimmy Simmons, and James Herring. Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
