Tommy Cooksey

Tommy F. Cooksey, age 77, former Nazarene and Methodist minister and Blair Community Band musician, died Saturday, June 6, 2009. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Tommy was born October 16, 1931, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of Lotus, Sr. and Edna Marie (Horn) Cooksey. On November 25, 1955, he married Mary Catherine Stallings.
Tommy was preceded in death by his wife; foster son, Jerry Herrell; brothers, Haydn and Lotus, Jr.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Gary Sutton, Mulvane, KS.
