Tom Atkinson

Tom T. Atkinson, 86, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  He had lived in Jonesboro since 1990 and was of the Christian belief.  Tom was an avid golfer and fisherman.  He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Lindley and they were married for 63 years, until her death.  He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, and one brother.

Survivors include his son, Scott Atkinson of Jonesboro; daughter, Karen A. Henson of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Brett Atkinson and Lindley Beach.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Reverend Bean Murry officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  There will be no public visitation.
