Todd Allen Bartholomew

Todd Allen Bartholomew, 54, departed this life on March 16, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1968, in Memphis, TN, to the late Leo and Nadine Bartholomew. He was a proud resident of Weiner, AR.

Todd's life has always been about service. He learned that during his days serving in the Poinsett County 4-H.  He did it during two different stints as Mayor of Weiner, as Poinsett County Justice of the Peace, and as a member and President of the Weiner school board and later consolidated Harrisburg school board. He served for years as a Weiner Volunteer Fireman and EMT. In his younger years Todd was a Taekwondo instructor.

Todd had a servant’s heart, he loved to serve his community, and would always help someone in need. He would give out cinnamon rolls, candy, and help needy families around the holidays. Todd just wanted to show his appreciation and love he had for the people he cared about in his life. He loved to go to the lake, grilling, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.  Todd’s love of his life and pride and joy was his daughter, Kenzie or as he called her “ZBird”. He spent as much time as he could traveling to watch her play every sport or activity, she was in.

He is survived by; his wife of 12 years, Jamie Bartholomew of the home; two daughters, Kenzie McGaughey (Ryan) of Fayetteville, Kristin Vanaman of Weiner; one son, Jake Vanaman of Weiner; his second mother, Shirley Bartholomew of Jonesboro; God Mother, Letha Owens of Trumann; siblings, Selena Barber (Brett), Dustin Caplinger (Connie), Chris Caplinger; and a lifetime of friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Emerson Memorial Chapel beginning at 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, March 20, 2023 at Weiner High School Gymnasium starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner. Reverend Heinecke will be officiating the service. Active pallbearers will include; Jeb Bass, Tony Schwarz, Jeff Mross, Paul Jones, Jonathan Beal, Ryan McGaughey, David Schwarz, Randy Jones, Bryan Bush, and Rusty Cartillar. Honorary Pallbearer is Dr. Vonda Houchin.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked to please donate to one of these organizations in memory of Todd; Weiner School Children’s Endowment, Weiner Fire Department, or Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg (please, no flowers).

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Rhianna Lawson, JJ Walker, and Janice Seehaver for their care, love and support over the last few months.
