T. L. Noblin, 81, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro since 1950 and was a member of the Greensboro Road Church of Christ. T. L. loved music and played the harmonica, an avid golfer and was an active walker to promote his physical fitness. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. H. and Lillian Noblin; brothers, William Noblin and Charles Noblin; sisters, Pamelia Burkhalter and Louise Gooch.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Frances Noblin, of the home; daughter, Lori Noblin of Jonesboro; brother, Don H. Noblin, Cardwell, Missouri; sisters, Willene Miller of Texarkana, Texas and Betty Gobbell of Cataula, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 18, 2011 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Terry Joe Kee and Bill Willard officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with John Robertson, Gary Bearden, Josh Rook, Marshall Lands, Bill Baker and Dan Nichols serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Elders and Deacons of Greensboro Road Church of Christ Church, Bob Tyler, A. H. Stanley and Herman Tinsley. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Thursday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
