Tina Ward Miller

Tina Ward Miller of Jonesboro, 58, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 21, 2016, at her father’s home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 12, 1957 to John and Opal Ward. Tina was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and Arkansas State University, a longtime employee of Midsouth Plumbing and Electric, and a member of New Life Fellowship Church. Her hobbies included spending time with friends & family, shopping, going on cruises, and going to the lake.

She was preceded in death by her mother Opal Ward of Jonesboro, paternal grandparents Mike & Millie Ward of Jonesboro, and maternal grandparents Roy and Mary Alice Nunn of Dixie.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Miller of the home, and sons Andrew and Tyler Hipp of Jonesboro. Her father John Ward of Jonesboro, a sister Karen (Rick) Clark of Jonesboro, a brother John (Melanie) Ward of Jonesboro, nieces Sydney Ward, Alexis Tippitt, Aubrey DeFries all of Jonesboro, Angela Clark of Millersville, MD, and step-daughter Kim Miller of Little Rock. Survivors also include four special lifelong friends (sisters of the heart), Sharon Adams Hopkins of Brookland, Dr. Lynita Cooksey of Jonesboro, Cindy Childress Bowers of Paragould, and Betty Simmons Cook of Clifton, VA. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and close friends.
Tina was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 6 till 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 24 at 2:00 pm with Rick Clark and Mike Martin officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park. Pallbearers include: R.D. Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Kyle Reynolds, James Huckabay, Rudy Randleman, and Sonny Hunt.
