Timothy “Rooster” Eugene Bogard, 47, of Bay, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was born to Larry Eugene and Pauline Jordan Bogard on January 31, 1973, in Jonesboro. He was a life-long resident of Northeast Arkansas and of the Pentecostal belief. He worked as a carpet installer for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy William Eugene Bogard.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Pauline Bogard of Bay; sisters, Regina Lamb of Jonesboro; Carrie Renea Shigley and husband Bryan of Atoka, Tennessee; three nieces, two nephews and five great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Friday, January 29, 2021 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Pagan officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery with Bryan Shigley, Dustin Hurst, Larry W. Bogard, Lynn Turner, Scott Rush and Brad Thompson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Larry “Bud” Bogard and “Rooster’s” best friend Michael. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time at the Emerson Chapel on Friday.
