Timothy Joe "Tim" Mitchell

Timothy Joe “Tim” Mitchell, 65, passed away on September 18, 2025, at his home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Tim was born on December 01, 1959, in Jonesboro to Samuel and Katherine Higdon Mitchell. He had a lifelong passion for nursing and the medical field, in Arkansas and Florida. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his beloved fur-babies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Step-father, Bill Metcalf: brothers, Buddy, Steve Mitchell, Rickey Mitchell; and sister Amanda Jane Shopher.

Survivors include his husband of 45 years, Randy McGuire, of the home, where they lived for the past seven years: four sisters, Kathy Barber; Nett Bobbitt; Carol Johnson; Joy (Jerry) Stevens; one sister-in-law, Stacy McGuire; four brothers, Rickey Metcalf; Roger Mitchell; Jimmy Mitchell; and Buddy Earl Mitchell. And a host of nieces and nephews and great/great great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Chad White officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Mitchell Barber, Buddy Mitchell, Hunter Metcalf, Ernie Rucker, Roger Mitchell, Rodney Garner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Rickey Metcalf, Andy Garner, Justin Barber and Rickey Mitchell. Visitation will be from 9:00 until service time.
