Timothy "Ob" Daniels

Tim passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding him on June 14th, 2024, in Jonesboro Arkansas at the age of 58. He was born October 10th, 1966, in Cash, Arkansas. Tim attended Nettleton Schools class of 1986.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Nita Weaver Daniels of 35 years; his son, Dalyn Daniels of Jonesboro Arkansas; daughter, Laken (Eric) Gestring of Jonesboro Arkansas; Grandson Peyton Vest. brothers, Donny (Trish) Sands Greenfield, Indiana; Bobby Sands Anderson, Indiana; Parry (Tina) Sands Anderson, Indiana; Eric (Malissa) Sands Jacksonville, Florida; Terry Daniels Sedgwick, Arkansas. sisters; Karen (Joe) Blalock Bay Arkansas, Sharon (Scott) Lundberg, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Tina Gibson Wilkinson, Brother-in-law Chris (Tim) Weaver, Jonesboro Arkansas; fathers-in-law Carl (Diane) Goobertown, Arkansas and James Daniel Jonesboro, Arkansas. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy Elizabeth Bowles, stepfather Charles Bowles, father Jimmy Dewayne Daniels and grandparents; James P & Pearl Daniels; Frank & Ethel Wortham. Sister Shannon Kay Horton; niece Jody Gibson Meredith, mother- in-law Sue Daniel and brother-in-law Dale Gibson.

Tim was diagnosed with a very rare lung disease at the young age of 21 and was told he would not survive. Tim, with the support of his then girlfriend Nita, family, friends, and a very special doctor Dr. Kevin Diamond beat the odds that were stacked against him. Tim survived this rare lung disease for 37 years. In August of 2023 Tim was diagnosed with cancer and fought this battle with strength and resilience.

Tim was a devoted husband and father. He cherished his family above everything. Tim also loved his river family and enjoyed the many weekend trips to Spring River with his wife Nita and grandson Peyton. Tim enjoyed frogging with his sidekick Peyton and hunting with brother in-law Chris Weaver. He also enjoyed his many fishing trips with friends and family. Tim was good with his hands and took pleasure in fiddling around in his shop.

Tim had a sense of humor that cannot be matched. Everyone that knew him had at least one lecture, except for Laken, she had many lectures.

He enjoyed life to the fullest and never took a day for granted.

Visitation will be held Wednesday June 19, 2024 from 1-2 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be after the visitation at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Cash.
