Thomas Cloud Griffin

September 27, 1962 — July 6, 2025

Thomas Cloud Griffin, 62, of Bay, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Cloud was born September 27, 1962, in Little Rock to Thomas and Francis Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gil Griffin.

He grew up in Gurdon, Arkansas and set out on his own at the age of 16. After graduating high school, he apprenticed in his uncle’s business where he built a solid work ethic and a strong business acumen. Cloud’s work ethic helped him gain a reputation as a hard-worker and problem solver, and he rose to various management and supervisory roles throughout his career.

On February 28, 1999, Cloud married Debbey (Ladd) Griffin. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their blended family. Cloud faced life’s challenges with grit and determination. With Debbey by his side, he overcame many serious health complications.

A natural comedian and gifted storyteller, Cloud could read a room and find the perfect way to make everyone laugh. He was also extremely proud of the accomplishments of his family and encouraged everyone to think bigger and strive for more. Cloud was full of ideas and ambition and wanted to help everyone achieve heights even beyond their own dreams.

Cloud is survived by his wife, Debbey (Ladd) Griffin of Bay, his son, Chase (Crystal) and grandchildren Zoey, Heath, and Charles; his daughter, Shea Griffin, and grandchildren Logan, Max and Aiden Wilson. Cloud also had three stepdaughters, Vicki (Dennis) Farmer, and step-grandchildren the late Josh (Lori) Farmer, Jon (Miranda) Farmer, Anna (Bryan) Smith; Amanda (Richard) Obenschain and step-grandchildren Night (Jenny) Foster and Seth Foster; Teddi (Chris) Russell, and step-grandchildren Hallie (Keiron) Sims, Hollie (Colton) Brown, Haven Russell, Harley Russell, Hazel (Clay) Russell, Havanna Russell; and several step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Bay First Baptist Church, 200 Central Street, Bay, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation , a cause that reflects Cloud’s spirit of generosity and patriotism.
