Thomas “Tommy” Jerry Brown, Sr. of Weiner, AR passed away on June 29, 2026 at the age of 79 surrounded by family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Harry A. Brown and Rachel C. Brown, both of Weiner.
He is survived by his wife Linette Brown, his sister Cathy Scott of Fisher, AR, daughter Christi Marrow of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, Thomas Brown, Jr of Weiner, AR and Spencer Brown of Paragould, AR. He has six beautiful grandchildren: Camden “Cami” Marrow, Cayden Marrow, Zachary Brown, Addison “Addi” Brown, Jeffrey Brown and Landon Brown. He is also blessed to have two great granddaughters: Alivia Brown and Lauren Brown.
Tommy was born and raised in Weiner, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University and served two years in the US Army. He met his beautiful wife, Linette, at a basketball game in Marked Tree and they were married for almost 60 years. Pop, as he was known to his family, grew up farming mostly rice and soybeans and even had a cattle ranch for many years. He loved the farming life and passed that passion on to his son Thomas and grandson Zach who continue his legacy. He was also a lover and collector of classic (and junk) cars. Tommy had a knack for being able to sit and talk to just about anybody about just about anything, finding common ground and commensurating around farming practices, old cars, the weather, or just the local gossip.
We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating the life of Tommy Brown. His wish was to keep things simple. We will be gathering informally to share memories and stories at Emerson Funeral Home Friday, July 3rd, from 5-7 pm. Graveside service will be held Monday, July 6th, at Walker Cemetery at 10:30 am.
