Thom Emerson Beasley, 67, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at his home.
Thom was born in Little Rock and lived several years in Hughes before moving to Jonesboro 23 years ago. Thom farmed in St. Francis County for 16 years before joining Farm Bureau in St. Francis County. He transferred to Craighead County Farm Bureau and has served as Agency Manager for 23 years.
Thom was a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville and is a member of First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro. Thom is board president of The Learning Center, Inc., and president-elect of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro. He serves on the boards of Arkansas State University System Foundation, Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, ASU Regional Farmers Market and served as chairman of the Jonesboro Advertising and Promotion Commission.
In addition, Thom is a board member and vice president of the North Delta Ag Expo and a past state president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Eleanor Beasley.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Beasley of the home;
3 sons: David Beasley of Franklin, Tennessee, and Nick Devereux and Allen Devereux, both of Jonesboro;
3 daughters: Melanie Conlon of Hendron, Virginia, Mimi Danosky of Memphis, and
Leslie Gordon of Fayetteville;
2 brothers: David Beasley of Jonesboro and Harry G. Beasley of Memphis;
2 sisters: Nancy Lofton of Hughes and Jane Mason of Fence Lake, New Mexico; and
9 grandchildren.
At Thom's request, all services will be private. There will be no visitation.
