Thelma Mcdaniel Clines

Thelma McDaniel Clines, 92, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday afternoon, September 21, 2011, at her residence. She was born May 14, 1919, in Jonesboro to David and Dicie Johnson McDaniel and lived in this area all of her life.

Mrs. Clines was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elden (Chub) Clines, by her parents, by a daughter, Karen Ann Clines, by 5 brothers and 2 sisters, and by a son-in-law, Melvin Griffin.

Survivors include 2 daughters and son-in-law: Glenda Griffin, and Brenda and Tince Sharp, all of Jonesboro;

5 grandchildren and their spouses: Shelia and Gregg Garner, Lisa and Toby Emerson, Cindy and Tony Elmore, Heather and Brian Lund and Megan and Chaz Payne; and

5 great grandchildren and their spouses: Ashley and Josh Baker, Aaron and Kristin Garner, Sydney Elmore, Dean Elmore and Amanda and Zach Fahlberg.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Tince Sharp, Gregg Garner, Toby Emerson, Tony Elmore, Brian Lund, Chaz Payne, Aaron Garner, Josh Baker and Dean Elmore.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5:00-7:00, at Emerson Funeral Home.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the Pine Hill Cemetery Association.
