Thelma L. Chapman

July 21, 1921 — October 4, 2015

Thelma L. Craig Chapman, 94, of Jonesboro, formerly of Bono, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro.

Born in Tyronza, Thelma moved to Bono at an early age and lived most of her life there. She was a homemaker and a member of Greensboro Road Church of Christ. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents: Samuel and Jennie Browning Craig; sister, Elsie Cook; 4 brothers: Willie Craig, Ernest Craig, Harold Craig and Arthur Craig; 2 sons: Glen Craig and Graylon "Cotton" Chapman; grandson, Robert Long, Jr.; and a son-in-law, Doug White.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Shirley and Floyd Howard, Lila and Robert Long, Wayne and Joyce Chapman, Beth and Teddy Foster, Jamie and Jackie Smith, Bonnie White, Bob Chapman, David and Kay Chapman;

13 grandchildren: Toni Brownell, Kara Flippo, Stacey Brigham, Chandra Craig, Quierda Klein, Clayton Howard, Angie Waters, Brandon Chapman, Brody Foster, Christie Smith, Greg Smith, Casey Foster, Jill Smith;

14 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Cemetery near Bono with Terry Joe Kee officiating.

Pallbearers include Clayton Howard, Brandon Chapman, Brody Foster, Casey Foster, Chad Flippo and Greg Smith.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
