Thelma Hostetter (Floyd)

August 16, 1942 — January 24, 2015

Thelma Hostetter(Floyd), 72, of Jonesboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 24, 2015 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born August 16, 1942 in Rural Tyler Township, MO to the late George and Alice Floyd. After coming from California, Thelma then spent the last twenty years residing in Jonesboro where she was also a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was such a devoted Christian woman. Thelma always put other people before herself. She had the biggest heart of anyone we know and she had special kind of love for people that was unconditional. Many knew Thelma to be always being a very hard worker in everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Ervin Lee Floyd and one great grandson: Airien.

Thelma is survived by her Husband of 45 years, Larry Hostetter of the home; one daughter: Marcy (Chuck) Sapp of Flemington, MO; one son: Thomas (Cheryl) Hostetter of Lancaster, OH; three sisters: Linda (Dean) Wilson of Willard, MO, Carolyn Clark of Bolivar, MO, Cynthia Quinlan of Bolivar, MO; seven grandchildren: Crystal (Luke)Colbert of Humansville, MO, Tanya (Eric) Schmidt of Bolivar, MO, Stephen (Jessica) Hostetter of Lancaster, OH, Jessica Hostetter and Fiancé Zach Baker of Lexington, KY, Christopher Hostetter and Kimberly Hostetter both of Elsmere, KY, Megan McDavitt of Lancaster, OH, and thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.

A visitation will be from 5-7pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Jonesboro, AR with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. There will also be a visitation from 6-8 Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Murray Funeral Home in Humansville, MO.

Service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Murray Funeral Home with James Thomas officiating and burial will follow a Flemington Cemetery.
