Thelma Hawkin

Thelma Hawkin, 74, of Jonesboro, passed away on December 23, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia on May 2, 1950, to the late Catherine Parker. In addition to her mother, Thelma was preceded in death by her sister, Caldonia Watson.

Thelma and her husband, Deron, spent most of their lives together in Florida before relocating to Arkansas in 2024. She was passionate about fishing and traveling, and the couple made it a tradition to travel at least once a year. Above all, Thelma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and servant of the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Deron Johnson; her two daughters, Shoelonda Allen and Ameka Crocker-Dukes (Travis); and three grandchildren, Aikeria Johnigan, Jadyn Dukes, and Taliah Dukes

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
