Thelma E. Fowler

Thelma E. Fowler, 85, of Jonesboro died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Craighead County Nursing Center. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1987, moving here from Blytheville and is affiliated with the First United Methodist Church. Thelma was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pruitt Elwood Fowler and one grandson.

Survivors include sons, Terry Fowler, Charles “Sonny” Fowler, Paul Fowler of Jonesboro; Don Fowler of Little Rock; and Scott Fowler of Jonesboro; daughters, Glenna Lambert, and Susan Carter-Riggs both of Jonesboro; one sister, Juanita Pinkston of Russellville Arkansas; grandchildren, Gina Wilson, Lisa Oppenheim, Brock Lambert, Michelle Fowler, Melanie Hotchkiss, Keith Carter, Kacey Carter, Kendra Kirkland, Brian Fowler, Chris Fowler, Noah Fowler, Ethan Fowler, Madison Fowler and Keegan Fowler; great grandchildren, Lauren Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Sarah Oppenheim, Anna Oppenheim, Riley Carter, Molli Fowler, and Macy Fowler.

A memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Patty Soward officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be private with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7 Monday evening at Emerson Funeral Home.
