Thelma Lea Earnhart, 89, of Jonesboro departed this life Thursday May 13, 2021 at Lakeside Nursing Center. She was born May 25, 1931 in Brookland to the late George Thomas Prestidge and Virgie Juliane Prestidge.

Thelma has lived in the Jonesboro area for over 70 years and was of the Baptist belief. She enjoyed gardening, art, cooking, and most importantly, taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Will Gene Earnhart; sisters, Pauline Prestidge, Bonnie Craft, Bea Antrims; half sister, Lillian Smith and a brother, Calvin Prestidge.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Tammy) Earnhart of Brookland; daughter, Priscilla Earnhart of Jonesboro; brother, Edward Prestidge of Jonesboro; sister, Georgia Feltcher of St. Charles, Missouri; granddaughter, Tracy (Tony) Griffin of Russellville and great-grandchildren, Addison Griffin, Will Griffin and Lainey Griffin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tony Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Freddy Foreman, Kevin McGaughey, Steve Prestidge, Dennis Simpson, Sidney Simpson and Thelma’s great-grandchildren.
