Theda Fern Jones

Theda Fern Jones, 86, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born May 10, 1936 in Jonesboro to the late Howard and Edith Turman. Theda lived most of her life in Jonesboro, but moved around several times due to her husband being in the Army. Her and her husband lived in Texas, Hawaii and Germany 3 years each while he was stationed there. Theda was a member of Christian Valley Christian Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of the home and her family. Theda also loved to go shopping.

In addition to her parents, Theda was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Jones; daughter, Edie Grayson and a nephew, Bryan Turman.

Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Caples; brother, Ricky (Sherry) Turman; 3 grandchildren, Taylor (Allison) Caples, Morgan (Adam) Thrasher, Anna Grayson and 3 great grandchildren, Tenley Thrasher, Eden Thrasher, and Foster Caples all of Jonesboro.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Duane Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
