Terry Lynn Gibson

Terry L. Gibson, 68, of Jonesboro passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

Terry was born in Jonesboro on November 15, 1947 to the late Eulas and Ruby Carey Gibson. He lived in the Helena area before moving to Jonesboro in 1975. He served his country with the US Army National Guard, and he was a Farmer and Truck Driver. He was a member of Big Creek Valley Missionary Baptist church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent. He was a friend to all that knew him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son; Tag Gibson; two grandchildren, Zackary and Alexis Gibson; and two brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debbie Gibson of the home; one son, Johnny Gibson of Jonesboro; one brother, Glen Gibson and his wife Frances of Pope, MS; three grandchildren, Hunter Allen Gibson, Nickolas Gibson, and Sadi Michelle Gibson; and a host other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Big Creek Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Gary Gipson and Jimmy Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Gibson Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
