Terry Gene Baker

Terry Gene Baker, 69, of Jonesboro passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born on March 14, 1957 in Jonesboro to the late Otis and Etta Lee Baker. Terry grew up in Lake City before moving to Jonesboro.

Terry spent most of his life farming and for the past 10 years, he worked at Buchheit of Jonesboro where he primarily assembled equipment. He enjoyed motorcycles and had a special place in his heart for the cats he rescued. Above all, Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Wisham Brooks and two nephews, Jeffery and Jeremy Wisham.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Baker; two sons, Matthew (Lauren) Baker and Luke (Kennedy) Baker; one daughter, Sarah (Dave) Roberson; one stepson, Kevin (Heather) Roush; one stepdaughter, Pam (Shon) Morris; two brothers, Charles (Meldean) Baker and his twin brother, Jerry (Barbara) Baker; two sisters, Elouise Drope and Karen Renee Baker and nine grandchildren: Reece Jackson, Reed Roberson, Livi Baker, Josephine Baker, Payton Morris, Barrett Morris, Hayden Roush, Nicole Roush, and Beau Roush. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Graveside service will be Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake City Cemetery with Bro. Terry Joe Kee officiating.
