Terrie Denise VanLandingham, age 72, of Jonesboro, formerly of Forrest City and Wynne, passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2026.

Terrie was born on November 11, 1953, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to Lee Andrew Grady and Jerrie Lee Grady. She was the oldest of seven siblings. Because her father worked as an ironworker, the family traveled extensively throughout her childhood, living in several states as they followed his work. Terrie graduated from Mossyrock High School in Washington, where she lived for many years before returning to Arkansas. She spent more than 30 years working as a paralegal in Forrest City and had also been employed at Wenfield's in Jonesboro for the past 15 years.

Of all the roles she held in life, being a mother was the one she cherished most. Terrie was blessed with four children and was the most loving and devoted mother anyone could have asked for. Over the years, she also became an honorary mother to many of her children and grandchildren's friends.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Terrie knew her for her kindness, humor, selflessness, and unwavering love for the Lord. She coached softball for all three of her daughters' softball teams and taught dance at Stage Door Dance Company for more than 10 years. She consistently went above and beyond for her family, and her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy.

Terrie had a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and a smile that could light up any room. Everything she did, she did with love. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Terrie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Andrew & Jerrie Lee Grady of Hickory Ridge, AR, and her brother, Lee Andrew Grady III of Mossyrock, WA.

Survived by her children Andrea Duckert (Justin) of Jonesboro, AR, Brianna Hallmark of Jonesboro, AR, Heather VanLandingham (fiancé Justin Dowdy) Wynne, AR, Ethan VanLandingham of Jonesboro, AR, and Joseph VanLandingham (Amber) of Wynne, AR.

Survived by her siblings Patrick Lee Grady (Mary Ellen) of Cinebar, WA, Mary Grady of Magnus, AR, Michael Grady of Hickory Ridge, AR, Jerrie Paine (Dash) of Centralia, WA, and Pacer Grady of Heber Springs, AR.

Survived by her grandchildren Colton McGuire, Bailee VanLandingham, Kenton McGuire, Kenna VanLandingham, Hunter Blaylock, Aleigha Hallmark, Paxton Duckert, Gemma VanLandingham, Alex VanLandingham (Mary Kate), Aaron VanLandingham, & Owen VanLandingham.

Terrie will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her steadfast faith, her infectious smile, her strength, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 6, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with the burial following at Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge, AR.
