Terri L. Nelson

Terri L. Bounds Nelson, 59, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Terri was born on October 25, 1955 to Tom and Florence Rush Bounds in Pocahontas. She was a graduating member of the Westside class of 1974, and was still a dear friend to many of her classmates. She was a loving and thoughtful person that loved to have a great time. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren, and her pet bird, Pierre. Her infectious smile and her kind heart will be missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger L. Nelson; one son, Rod Nelson; father, Tom Bounds; brother, Patton Bounds; and sister, Tommy Swayze.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephenie Meeker and her husband Gary of Jonesboro; mother, Florence Alzetta Bounds of Bono; grandchildren, Matthew and Hunter Nelson, Austin Monteniszs, Lizzie Parker, Katie Meeker all of Jonesboro; brothers, Johnny Bounds and Ronnie Bounds both of Jonesboro, Gary (Buck) Bounds and Ray Neal Bounds both of Bono; sisters, Vida Cline, Fern Mullins, Connie Futrell, and Judy Cook all of Bono, and Carolyn Tribble of Jonesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bryan Guntharp.

Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, in Lorado Cemetery with Bro. Blake Hall and Bro. Zeke Cline officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Austin Monteniszs, Matthew Nelson, Hunter Nelson, Paul Tribble, Shawn Cook, Steven Futrell, Brandon Bounds, and Justin Cline.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Bounds, Kaleb Tribble, Greg Conrey, Steve Conrey, Bryan Guntharp, Victor Bounds, Jerry Bounds, Cody Bounds, Troy Hall, Ryan Bounds, Steve Swayze, Tim Swayze, Ron Swayze, John Swayze, and Mike Beeler.

Visitation will Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 1:30 – 2:30 at Emerson Funeral Home.
