Teri Denise Smith Ellis, 57, of Jonesboro, Arkansas left this earth to be in heaven on April 17, 2025, at St. Bernards Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1967, to the late Earl Junior and Edith Joyce Bandy Smith.
She grew up in Bay, Arkansas and lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She worked at Visiting Angels agency, which she loved her clients, and they loved her. She worked hard to support her 3 children, Danielle, Austin, and Huntar, along with her 2 dogs and cat. She loved her children more than anything. She loved spending time with her children, pets and family. She also loved going to yard sales and antique stores with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edith; stepfather, Jim Nichols; brothers, Floyd and Charles Smith; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Survivors include her 3 children, Danielle Chaffin of Pocahontas, Austin and Huntar Ellis of the home; sisters, Connie (Randall) Woods of Bay, Arkansas; Jeri (Randy) Nelson of Jonesboro; Sheila Fore of Trumann, Arkansas; brother, Shawn Smith of Missouri; 3 uncles, lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
If you knew Teri, she would speak her mind. She would want everyone to know that God and family are the most important thing of all; we need to stick together, love each other, and make up because we are only here for a short time until God calls us home.
Visitation will be at Emerson Funeral Home at 9 a.m., April 21, 2025. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
