Tereasa Lynn Swan

Tereasa Lynn Swan, 55 of Jonesboro, formerly of Lake City.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend has transitioned from this life on December 22, 2025. Tereasa was born on July 11, 1970, in Jonesboro.

In her free time, Tereasa enjoyed sitting at the table playing games on her phone, especially candy crush and animal coins, while drinking her Route 44 Diet Coke from Sonic. She loved watching her grandchildren and spending time at home watching her favorite television shows, including, The Big Bang Theory, Gilligans Island, and The First 48 Hours. She was the Backbone of our family, a true anchor, always putting us first. Our mom was our rock, she was always there to lend a hand and listen when we needed her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Lee Gipson; her maternal grandparents, Adaith Hensley and Aria Hensley; and one granddaughter, Eliana Oliver.

She will live through her husband Tyson Deshane Oliver; her mother, Patricia Gipson of Smithville; four sons, Tristin Oliver of Jonesboro, Tyson Oliver, Jr. of Jonesboro, Jermiah Oliver of Jonesboro, and Joshua Oliver of Jonesboro; four daughters, Desiree Swan of Jonesboro, Brianna Oliver of Jonesboro, Ciara Oliver of Jonesboro, and Shea Simmons of Florida; two brothers, Jimmy Schrader and Dewayne Schrader, both of Lake City; two sisters, Adaith Jones (David) of Smithville and Georgetta Jones (Blake) of Hoxie; nine grandchildren, Kiersten, Elijah, D2, Day Day, DeeDee, Cam, Christian, Paris, and Legend, with one grandchild on the way; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, January 5, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
