Teddy Formon, 69, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, September 19, 2016. He was born in Manila, Arkansas to the late Vernon and Una Flanagan Formon on March 4, 1947. Teddy was an avid hunter and fisherman as a young man. Later in life, Teddy enjoyed teaching dance and dancing with his wife, Cari. He also enjoyed going to church at First Free Will Baptist Church and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Teddy is preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Formon.
Teddy is survived by his wife of 9 years, Cari Smith Formon of Jonesboro; son, Mike Smith of Memphis; daughters, Michelle Long (Jeff) of Dyess, Arkansas, Jennifer Pritchard (Ryan) of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Jana Ezell (Cory) of Austin, Texas, and Mika Pellham (Steve) of Paragould; brother, Vince Formon; sisters, Cicondra Walton (Hugh), Janet Cheek, and Marlana Cooper (Clint). Teddy also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Kevin Barnett officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice house or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
