Tammy Beisner Taylor, 62, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, died Saturday, May 15, 202, in Rogers, Arkansas. She had taught in public schools, mostly in Jonesboro, for the past 38 years. While working on her BS degree at Arkansas State University, she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. Tammy was a member of the Refuge Church of the Assemblies of God and was a devout and loving Christian. She was known as “Grammy” to her grandchildren and loved reading, watching classic movies and board games. When it came to football, she was one of the biggest Dallas Cowboys fans you have ever seen.
Survivors include her son, Joshua Taylor and his wife Katie of Jonesboro; Alexis Groves and husband, Jonathan of Rogers, Arkansas; parents, Dewaine and Linda Besiner of Jonesboro; sister, Torri Lohman and husband John of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Greenlee, Jax, Macie, Emilia and Avery; and a very special niece, Olivia.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 21, 2021, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Jonathan Groves, Jax Taylor, John Lohman, Chris Groves, Greenlee Taylor, and Trevor Kreis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her Jonesboro Public School family, both current and retired. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time.
