Tammy Jean Eason, 57, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born on December 19, 1967, in Jonesboro to Jerry and Wilma Russell. Tammy was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She loved shopping, working on word searches, and fishing on quiet days. She especially enjoyed cooking big holiday meals, where she brought family together with her warm hospitality and delicious food.
She was a faithful member of Friendship Assembly Church in Jonesboro, where her presence and kindness were felt by all who knew her.
Tammy was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Adams, and her father, Jerry Russell.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Adams (Robin) of Tyronza; daughter, Lauren Thacker (Jason) of Bono; mother, Wilma (Guntharp, Russell) Doyle of Jonesboro; sister, Jamie Despain (Jack) of Jonesboro; and her beloved grandchildren: Aubrey, Samuel, Lyra, Kylee, Matthew, and Alexis.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Friendship Assembly Church (1771 AR-163, Jonesboro, AR 72404). The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Nate Morse officiating. Tammy will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Tibbs, Blake Tibbs, Jack Despain, Rodney Adams, Brandon Hoselton, and Landen Derrick. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Gean and Kylee Gean.
Tammy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, love for her family, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought to every gathering.
