Tamasa Lynn Thorne Russell

Tamasa Lynn Thorne Russell, 45 of Jonesboro died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at her father and stepmother’s home. Born in Jonesboro, Tamasa lived most of her life here and in Alpharetta, GA. She graduated from the Bartlet Cosmetology Beauty School and worked for RoseHaven nursing home in Jonesboro and for Entergy in customer service while in Alpharetta.

Tamasa is preceded in death by her grandparents, a son, Hunter Thorne and her father Tommy D. Thorne. Survivors include her mother, Mary Thorne of Alpharetta, GA; stepmother, Nina Thorne, daughter, Summer Nicole Russell; brother, David (Janie) Thorne, all of Jonesboro; sister, Cassie Neely of Batesville.

Services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bruce Tippit and Kathy Holler officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery (Friendly Hope).

Pallbearers include Dan White, Tommy L. White, Dustin B. White, Chuck Horrell, Wayne Russell and Tim Eaker.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel from 1:00 – 2:30 PM.
