T.V. Wallis, 79, of Pocahontas, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro most of his life. T.V. was a member of the West Ridge Church of Christ Church in Pocahontas. He was the owner/operator of Wallis Wrecking Company. He was an active supporter of Crowley’s Ridge Academy and Crowley’s Ridge College. He was proud of the fact all of his children graduated from CRA. T.V. loved gospel music and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his infant son, T.V. Wallis Jr.; parents T.E. and Ethel Wallis; brothers, Fred, Kenneth, Frank, and J.B. Wallis.
Survivors include his children, Virgil Wallis of Atlanta, Georgia; Danny Wallis (Karen); Brenda Bryant (Anthony) of Jonesboro; Kay Cupp (Cliff) of Cardwell, Missouri; Pam Floyd (Andy) of Mesquite, Texas; Tommy Wallis (Sandy) and Bobby Wallis (Joanna) Paragould; Paul Wallis (Kim) of Jonesboro; Arsalea Coy (Steven) of Perkinston, Mississippi; Lenia Rowe (Kelly) of Paragould; Wes Moore (Carri) of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, Ralph Wallis (Mary) of Batesville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Joseph Wallis, Jake Wallis, Erica Simmons, Leslie Baker, Ben Johns, Jeremy Johns, Jentri Cupp Duke, Andrea Cupp, Tori Cupp, Andrew Floyd, Jessica Wallis, Jacquelyn Green, Josh Wallis, Brianna Jadwin, Shainna Wallis, Colby Wallis, Levi Wallis, Mattie Coy, Nathan Coy,Ethan Coy, William Rowe, Whitney Rowe, Weslyn Rowe, Wyatt Moore and Garrett Moore, and 11great grandchildren. A special thanks to caregivers, Susan Reed and Gary London.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Valley View Church of Christ with Ralph Wallis officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Saturday night at the Valley View Church of Christ Church.
