Suzanne Stearley

Suzanne Stearley Passed from this life July 5 ^th , 2022 with her daughters and sisters by her side. Suzanne was born in Steubenville, Ohio December 30, 1957. She has been a resident of Jonesboro for 63 years and attended Jonesboro Public Schools. She and her graduating class attended High School at the fairgrounds in Jonesboro. Suzanne went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a degree in nursing.

Suzanne was given the nickname Bootie by her parents as a toddler. Many knew her by that name which changed over the next 60 years to Booter. She will be remembered by friends and family for her long, thick hair that she took great pride in, the love that she shared with grandchildren, and the fun we had as teenagers. She enjoyed old rock and roll and especially, Neil Young. She often danced in the kitchen to the song Harvest Moon with her grandson Donnie and always played the same song when she took them to the park…. She knew all the words.

Suzanne married her love, Charles (Chuck) Stearley and they had two wonderful daughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.L. Mullins of Jonesboro, her husband, Charles Stearley, one sister and brother, Marsha Bond and Leon (Bubba) Mullins Jr.

Her legacy will continue with her daughters, Stephanie Stearley McCain and Brittney Stearley and her grandchildren: Suzanna McCain, Charles McCain, Thomas (TJ) Payne and Donnie Andrews III. She is also survived by her sisters: Roseann Askeland, Carol Trotter and Anjanette Conaway.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am Thursday, July 7 ^th at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Roseann Askeland officiating.

Active pallbearers will be: Donnie Andrews II, James Askeland, Ryan Singleton, Steven Bishop, and Zachery Davis.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House for the care and attention given to her during her stay.
