Suzanne Rothrock Hackney

Suzanne Rothrock Hackney, 80, of Jonesboro departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born March 12, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late George and Husie Rothrock. She lived in Jonesboro for 20 years, moving here from Osceola, Arkansas.

Suzanne retired from City of Jonesboro as a Human Resource Manager and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. She served as President of St. Bernard’s Auxiliary. She also served as State President of Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association, and on their Board of Directors.

If she wasn’t working, she was traveling watching her grandkids play different sports.

In addition to her parents Suzanne is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Robert Allen Hackney.

She is survived by; one son, Mark Hackney (Kenda) of Jonesboro; one daughter, Melissa Robson (Jamie) of Olive Branch, MS; two grandchildren, Brent Hackney of Jonesboro, Hughes Robson of Olive Branch, MS; and a lifetime of friends.

Friends may visit at Emerson Funeral Home, Friday, December 30, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
