Susan Marine Metzler

Susan M. Metzler, 53, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at her home of natural causes.

Born in Jonesboro, Susan lived two years in Little Rock before returning to Jonesboro where she lived most of her life. She was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and Arkansas State University where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.

Susan worked as a real estate agent and was employed by Redbook of Paragould before becoming disabled. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro and was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Frederick, Jr. and Mary Jean Burrow Metzler, and by two brothers, Rick Metzler and John Marc Metzler.

Survivors include two brothers, Steven Metzler and Jim Metzler, both of Jonesboro;
2 nieces, Brooke Stacey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Sarah Peter of Charlotte, North Carolina; 1 nephew, Drew Metzler of Murfreesboro, and 5 great nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held Monday morning, January 18, 2010, at 10:00 in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Patty Soward officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial service.
