Sue White, 84, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Sue was born in Whitton, Arkansas on April 16, 1934, to the late Arlie and Eunice Birdsell Peace. Sue lived in Jonesboro for 65 years, was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Sue was a wonderful woman that was loved and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was an amazing mother and devoted to her family. She dearly loved her three children and grandchildren.
Her favorite pastime was fishing, especially catching “Crappie” at Lake Norfork and viewing the beautiful sunsets at her “mountain home.” We will greatly miss her, and her beautiful spirit will live on.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John White Jr., brother, Bill Peace and one grandchild.
Survived by her sons, John M. White (Deborah) and Ronald White (Laura) both of Jonesboro.
Daughter, Emily Sue Conrad (David) of Jonesboro.
Sister, Gayle Shinault.
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Bailey officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 E. Matthews Ave., Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
