Sue Pickering Neal

July 13, 1945 — October 20, 2015

Sue Pickering Neal, 70, of Jonesboro went to be with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Medical Center. She lived most of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. Sue never met a stranger and had a love for life. She was a member of a quilting group and loved to make quilts for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Neal; her parents, Monk and Earline Pickering; brothers, Dee Pickering, Emmett Pickering, and Donald Pickering; nieces, Christy Pickering and Amy Williams.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Buhrmester; brothers, Jim Pickering; Jerry Pickering (Mary Lou); sisters, Wilma Wright (Bob); JoAnne Beason (Joe); Kay Wimpy (Gaylon); Lynn Tubbs (Joe); sisters-in-law; Martha Pickering and Karen Pickering; several nieces, nephews, special friend, Bobby Adams; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Glen Putnam and Brother Andy Neal officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Willis Cemetery with Dustin Tubbs, Drew Barker, Lance Pickering, Jason Barker, Daniel Tubbs, John Pickering, Kelsey Pickering and Terry Pickering serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7 Thursday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
