Steven White

Steven “Stiv” Pershing White, 34, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 16, 1985 to Hal and Beverly White in Jonesboro. Steven attended Walnut Street Baptist Church. He loved soccer and traveled to England to support the Chelsea Soccer Club. Steven was known as a funny guy with a dry sense of humor and loved to help other people. He was also an artist and enjoyed artist welding, making furniture, painting, sculpting, and woodworking.

Steven is preceded in death by his Father, Hal White; paternal grandfather, Wilson Pershing White; and maternal grandparents, Tom and Alma Knott.

Steven is survived by his mother, Beverly White of Jonesboro; sisters, Julie Bailey Barker (Jamie) of Russellville and Jessica White Butner (Jeff) of Little Rock; paternal grandmother, Norma Jackson of West Memphis. Steven also leaves behind 1 niece and 5 nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the NEA Humane Society, 6111 E Highland Dr., Jonesboro, AR 72401 , St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1910 Scenic Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72401 .

A face mask must be worn to enter the facility the day of the visitation due to Covid-19 restrictions.
